Final Words

Mum and Dad with the Sleeping Beauty castle
Now safely back in Australia (and have been for a few weeks now!!), I have dedicated this post to the times I have enjoyed the most during my USA trip. I had a lot of fun at Universal S tudios, and the fact that we had Front of the Line passes only made it better! Disneyland was also a great experience and the fulfilment one of Dad's childhood fanatsies was good, that along with Hoover Dam and the Grand Canyon! But my ultimate favourite times in the states would definately have to be Las Vegas. Just the atmosphere there with all the casinos and shows and mini world landmarks (e.g. the Eiffel Tower and Statue of Liberty) is cool in itself.
Walking the strip was really exciting, but got boring after about the third or fourth time!! People on the streets hounding you to go to nightclubs and shows did get annoying, but one guy said I was cute atleast. Going to Toby Keith's Bar and Grill was fun, and the food there was yummy, and it was another tick on Mum and Dad's list to do ever since they heard his song "I Love This Bar".
The Stratosphere was a lot of fun, very high though - when I first got up to the viewing area I chickened out of going on the Xtreme and Insanity rides (google them - very scary), however I was brave enough to go on the Big Shot, a free fall drop type ride right on the needle of the tower, it shoots you up straight away with you being weightless at the top 1,080 feet above the ground (!) with 4gs of force you can bet it was terrifying and it was my first experience with that sort of ride!! The picture taken just as we shot up is truly horrifying and embarrassing (for me).
Shooting guns at the Gun Store was great, even though I sucked at it as I (accidently) shot my hostage in the eye. Riding through the Nevada desert on ATVs was very fun. I was apparently very good at it! Mum wouldn't go very fast though and held up poor Dad and Matthew behind her! It was freezing though, when we took our gloves off our fingers were swollen red and couldn't move!! But still a lot of fun.
Our windswept selves after our session of indoor skydiving
Indoor skydiving was an experience let me tell you! It was fun, however extremely embarrassing for me as the video depicts my mortifying attempts at it. Mum was surprisingly good at it though! Our instructer/handler was Tony, who was actually REALLY cute! So he made it worth it my opinion. We also saw a show, The Tournament of Kings at the Excalibur Hotel and Casino, which was very good. The food they served us was also yummy, before the show started someone in the audience yelled out "Aussie Aussie Aussie" so we just had to yell back "Oi Oi Oi". So there you go, and that's why I loved Las Vegas.
